Bella Leonard is from Birmingham, Alabama. She began training at the Alabama School of Fine Arts before deciding to further her education at George Mason University, where she has performed in works by Susan Shields and Christina Robson and has choreographed three works of her own. She has attended several summer and winter study programs, including American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey, Point Park International Summer Dance, Alabama Ballet, Orsolina 28, Henny Jurriëns Studio, Complexions Pre-Pro Intensive, and the Gibney Winter Study.
