Sheena Kapila

Sheena Kapila is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. She began dancing at a young age as a competitive dancer before pursuing her formal training at Sam Houston State University. There, she earned both her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance (2022)—along with a minor in Kinesiology—and her Master of Fine Arts in Dance (2025).

Throughout her training, Sheena has had the opportunity to study at prestigious institutions including the Radio City Rockettes, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, School of Alberta Ballet, Dance Italia, Noblemotion Dance Company and Salt. During her collegiate career, she performed works and trained under choreographers such as Joshua Manculich, Nicole von Arx, Dual Rivet, Take Ueyama, Andy Noble, Evelyn Toh, Francisco (Cisco) Graciano, Colette Kerwick, and Gregory Dolbashian.

In 2025, Sheena relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where she is currently a Mover | Maker with Whirlwind Dance Company for their 25–26 season. Alongside her work as a performing artist, she is an active educator, sharing her passion for movement, creativity, and embodied expression with dancers of all ages.
