Lily Hemingway is a choreographer and dancer from Wilmington, North Carolina. She began her dance training at age nine with ballet, tap and jazz. After discovering her passion for movement, she trained under the direction of Cory Smith, Lesa Broadhead, Alison Dutka-Jones, and Molly Giffin at various institutions throughout the region.She has attended intensives with UNC School of the Arts, Commercial Dance Intensive Winter (2024), and the American Dance Festival (2025), and in 2022, earned the title of Outstanding Overall Senior at the Dance Revolution convention.Inspired by her love of funk music, Lily developed a deep appreciation for street and club styles, which she continues to explore and expand as her artistry evolves. Lily is currently pursuing her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography at Shenandoah University, where she has had the privilege of working with renowned choreographers such as Earl Mosley, Mike Esperanza, Tiffanie Carson, and Daniel Padierna. Lily approaches every opportunity with gratitude and aims to create work that invites connection, joy, and movement for all audiences.
