Shannon Comerford – RVA Dance Collective

Shannon Comerford, who grew up in Amelia, VA, got her start dancing and competing at a local dance studio. She continued her dance education at Radford University and graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance in 2015. She performed in many main stage productions in works choreographed by different faculty members and guest artists. She also performed at the New York Jazz Choreography Project and was an apprentice for d a n a h b e l l a DanceWorks during her time at Radford, and was the student chosen to present work at the Mid-Atlantic region of the American College Dance Association in 2015. Since graduation Shannon has danced for a number of choreographers both in Richmond and in D.C. and has been a company member of RVA Dance Collective for the last 4 years.
