Born to immigrant parents of Chile and Yugoslavia, Luisa Innisfree Martinez is a mover, a dancer, and a lady pie baker. She is interested in playing with props, creating characters, and finding comedy in dance. Her choreography has been shown in NYC, Baltimore (MD), Charlotte (NC) and Richmond (VA). Luisa tends to make solo work so she can travel and find new adventures, however she is always interested in collaborating with other dancers and artists. She holds a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography from Ohio University where she graduated in 2010. Her career as a dance educator for children pushes her to continue making work, hearing stories, and examining how we evolve as humans.
