Ashley Cuppett Richardson grew up training in all classical genres of dance including ballet, tap, jazz and modern. She is Cecchetti student-certified through Grade 7, as well as teacher-certified through Grade 3. She has been choreographing and instructing in the Northern Virginia region for the last 12 years and has received numerous choreography awards for her work. Ashley danced professionally with Mayzsoul Dance Company from 2007-2011 and was also a scholarship member of DC Culture Shock. She received her bachelor’s in Communications from GMU in 2013 and is now in her second year as Artistic Director of Nomadic Artist, a professional dance company based out of Fairfax, Va. Nomadic has been admitted to 8 area showcases since its inception in 2014. She is also a proud mom and wife.
Nomadic Artist is a professional dance company that is established to appreciate, cultivate and expose emerging choreographers and dancers. We have showcased work in numerous shows around the DC/Northern Va region since our inception in 2014. We are currently a company of 9 dancers that include VCU and GMU dance graduates.
