Matia Johnson

Matia Johnson is a dancer, choreographer, actress, and creative from the East Bay Area City of Antioch, California. She received her training at Howard University and graduated with a BFA in Theatre Arts-Dance. She is blessed to have worked with choreographers Hope Boykin, Zane Booker, Ray Mercer, Camille Brown, and Dianne McIntyre to name a few. Her choreography has also been presented at the Lincoln Memorial for Constitution Day, The Yale Cabaret, Medicine Show Theater, and Columbia University’s “The Escape…”. She is currently researching and continuing to choreograph her own work surrounding black women and the roles played in society.
