Rebeca Gamborino

Rebeca Gamborino is an interdisciplinary artist whose movement projects stem from her experiences as a woman, immigrant, Latina, and mother. This perspective is central to both her teaching philosophy and choreographic work, where she uses dance-making as a form of activism. With over twenty years of teaching experience across Texas, she has showcased her work both nationally and internationally in various formats, including stage performances and screen presentations. Rebeca holds an MFA from Texas Woman’s University and currently resides in the borderlands of McAllen, TX, with her partner and son. She serves as an Assistant Professor of Dance in the Department of Dance at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
