Chartamia “Shay” Turner, is a choreographer, dancer, dance educator, actor, and former elementary educator. A native of Illinois, Chartamia graduated with a BA in dance from Columbia College Chicago. Spring ’23, Chartamia graduated from Loyola University Chicago with honors receiving her MEd in Elementary Education. Chartamia has performed, choreographed, and taught dance throughout the Chicagoland area and Metro DC area. Summer of ’24, Chartamia found her love of theater again performing with Pulse Theater (Chicago), Nomad Theatre (Bloomington/Normal) Coalescence Theatre (Bloomington/Normal), and Woodson Productions (Milwaukee).
