Michelle Murgia – Nomadic Artist

Michelle Murgia has been dancing the majority of her life, training mostly in Alexandria, VA. She got her start with the now defunct Mayzsoul, Inc, where she concentrated on her style and choreography, and connected with members of Nomadic. She currently resides in Richmond, VA, where she is also a performer with Coalition Theater.

Nomadic Artist was born out of the concept of coming together to promote great dance, a passion for the arts and love and acceptance of all artists, art forms and its audiences.

We are a non-profit, professional dance company of mindful dance artists. Nomadic provides a platform for the current and future members to have their choreographic and/or dance talents appreciated, cultivated and exposed through performance and outreach instruction opportunities. We have been successfully admitted and showcased in many choreographer’s showcases throughout DC and Virginia since our inception in 2014. We are excited to announce that we will be having our premiere show on October 1st of 2016 at the Jack Guidone Theater in Friendship Heights DC!

Furthermore, we have joyfully engaged in two summer sessions offering free dance instruction to a group of school-aged children at a local daycare, in which Haylee Green and Ashley Richardson volunteered their time to do so. They worked with the kids to put on an end-of-summer show for the parents and community to attend. The ultimate goal is to be a successful professional dance company that uses its adult members to cultivate children who are less fortunate in our area, providing an opportunity where it may not be afforded or accessed.
