Carlye Eckert’s work is devoted to accessible, transformative arts experiences for underserved communities. Her interdisciplinary movement practice spans visual art, video, and sound, often rooted in environmental and communal encounters. She is a Juilliard-trained artist (BFA, 2009) whose work has been presented internationally, including at MUMOK and ImpulsTanz (Vienna), Judson Memorial Church, CPR, CUNY, Rutgers University, and Lincoln Center. As a performer, Carluye has worked and collaborated with Tino Sehgal (DE), Boris Charmatz/Musee de la Danse (FR), Brian Brooks Moving Company (NYC), Azure Barton + Artists (CAN), Luke Murphy Attic Projects (IRE), and others. Her work in the field extends to educator, presenter, producer, and curator for organizations such as Dance Parade, STUFFED Arts, Chapman Steamer Arts, Newburgh Illuminated Festival, and Small Plates Choreography Festival.
