AJ has been dancing at Expressions Dance & Music in College Station, TX since she was 3 years old. She began competitive dance at 8 years old and started to attend dance conventions where she was exposed to many different styles and choreographers. She choreographed her first competition solo, which won many awards including an artistry award at Elevation On Tour in San Antonio, at only 13 years old. At 14, she began choreographing duets and solos for other dancers at her studio. Her first self-choreographed duet, Exile, was awarded an artistry award and the highest scoring duet out of all age groups at Elevation Dance Finals in June 2023. Her self choreographed solo “It’s Not For Me To Say” was recognized by ADE Dance Convention at its Houston Regionals in 2025 when she won the Emerging Choreographer Award. She has been an Apprentice with Intrigue Dance Convention, a Prodigy All-Star with ADE Dance Convention, and is currently a member of Heat Convention’s pre-professional company, Force. AJ plans to obtain a BFA in Dance in college in hopes of a career as both a performer and a choreographer.
