Laney Phillips & Cherami Steadman are Austin-based dancers, having danced together for almost 20 years (dating back to when Laney was just a wee 6 year old). Cherami taught Laney the love and freedom of dance, shaping the person and artist she is today. They came back together after floating in and out of each other’s lives to create their first collaborative work: Nurse Log. Laney and Cherami coming together for this piece expresses a snapshot of the unique, multi-generational Austin dance community. Cherami has performed with Austin dance legends Kate Warren and Kathy Dunn Hamrick. Laney has worked with Spaces of Fontana, Emily Rushing and Matthew Sommers. From teacher and student to collaborators!
