Sarah Renny – Haven Movement Company

Sarah Renny received her BFA in dance/choreography from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Sarah has danced at the American College Dance Festival at USC, Irvine, and was an American Dance Festival (ADF) scholar in 2008 and a resident company member at ADF with MarkDendyDanceTheatre in 2009. She performed as a principal dancer for Mr. Dendy in Lincoln Center Out Of Doors concert in 2009. Sarah was a member and soloist for Valerie Green/Dance Entropy 2008-2011, and soloist for Catherine Miller Dance in 2011.

Sarah founded Haven Movement Company with Beth Elliott and Michele Painter whom she met at the University of Hawaii. She teaches company class for Haven and works closely with the pre-professional dancers of the Haven Movement Ensemble. She also choreographs and performs with the company.

Sarah is also a registered nurse. She married the love of her life, Max, in 2014 and they have two sons together, Austin and Franklin, a daughter Tess, and two canine fur babies Sonny and Bella. They moved to Newburgh, NY in June 2016 and love their community.
