Kara Robertson – KARAR DANCE COMPANY

Kara Robertson creates interstitial abstract work rooted in emotional experience. She is the Artistic Director of Richmond, Virginia’s KARAR DANCE COMPANY and member of the American Dance Guild. Kara has presented work at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., Gibney Dance and The Ailey Citigroup Theater in New York City, the 5th Annual Richmond Dance Festival, and for KARAR DANCE COMPANY’s inaugural concert and “Across Disciplines” as part of artoberVA. She is the founder of Homegrown Choreographers, an online community where modern dance choreographers share their inspiration and work. Kara is a Richmond native and 2016 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography. karardancecompany.org
