
Bethany Chang, a native of Libertyville, IL, received a B.A. in Dance and Film from Hofstra University. During her time at school, she had the pleasure of performing works by Ellie Kusner, Rachel List, Robin Becker, Adam Barruch, Karla Wolfangle, Doug Varone, and Igal Perry. Bethany has studied with Doug Varone and Dancers, The Cambrians, Adam Barruch + Loni Landon (HomeGrown NYC), and Trisha Brown Dance Company. Through Velocity Dance Center (Seattle, WA), she had the opportunity to collaborate with Pat Graney in the creation process of “Girl Gods” (2016 Bessie Award Winner), performing a study of the work-in-progress at Broadway Performance Hall. In 2016, she was accepted to USF’s Dance in Paris summer program, under the direction of Michael Foley and Colleen Thomas-Young. In Paris, she studied with international artists such as Kevin Quinao, Julien Desplantez, and Catherine Denecy. Most recently, she performed with Brooklyn Opera Works in Venus and Adonis, choreographed by Marie Zvosec. She is currently dances for KAKE Dance and Joan Bradford.
