Sammi Rosenfeld – Motion X Dance Company

Motion X Dance Company, founded in 2013 by Stephanie Dorrycott in Northern Virginia, is a contemporary dance company that creates relatable, thought-provoking works reflecting the human experience. Known for its multimedia collaborations blending dance with visual, digital, and spoken art, Motion X has presented original works including Altered Archives, The Fate of Choice, and Polyscope. The company has performed at venues such as The Kennedy Center, Atlas Performing Arts Center, and Grace Street Theater. Now in its 11th season, Motion X continues to inspire audiences and provide accessible, high-quality dance training through open classes and its annual Summer Workshop.

Sammi Rosenfeld, a former dancer of Motion X Dance Company, is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, school counselor for a K-8 special education school, and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. This is her second piece with Motion X Dance Company and she is honored to be invited to create and collaborate with such an amazing company.
