Jennifer Ruhl Kubilus – J. Dance Kollective

Miss Jenn began her dance training in the New Jersey, New York City and Philadelphia areas. She grew up dancing at a competition studio, while supplementing her training at many ballet schools, Broadway Dance Center and Steps. Jenn was also a competitive gymnast and springboard diver. In 2007, she received her BFA in Dance from George Mason University, with a Minor in Arts Administration. She is a certified dance teacher and member through Dance Masters of America in Acro, Ballet, Jazz and Modern, as well as a member of USA Gymnastics.

Easy
J. Dance Kollective – “Easy”

While attending college she both performed and choreographed with the GMU Dance Company. As part of resident artist programs, she performed in the works of Kevin Campbell, Danny Ezralow, Susan Marshall, Kate Skarpetowska, Lar Lubovitch, and Paul Taylor. Jenn presented works at GMU’s Dance Concerts and her piece Organized Chaos represented GMU at the 2007 American College Dance Festival. Jenn also teaches and choreographs at Avery Ballet, Cuppett Performing Arts Center, and freelance at many other studios in the DC, MD and VA areas. Her choreography has won many awards and Top Score at multiple competitions. In Musical Theater, she has choreographed the shows A Chorus Line, The Wiz, Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, Romeo and Juliet, and Little Shop of Horrors.

Jenn worked professionally as dancer, choreographer, and Managing Director of Mayzsoul and a dancer with Momentum Dance Theatre. She has presented choreography and performed in NoVA, NYC and DC. She is the rehearsal director for Beth Elliott Dance Group while dancing with the company, and other professional dance projects. In 2014, Jenn founded J. Dance Kollective as a collaborative pre-professional youth company to share her artistry and to help other dancers reach their full potential.
