Margaret Allen is a lover of movement, languages, circus, and being upside down. She received her BFA in dance performance/choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011, and then ran away to Europe where she achieved her professional contemporary circus artist credentials from the FLIC Scuola di Circo in Torino, Italy.
Marge will be performing “incastrata” at Small Plates Choreography Festival. The dance was born during her creative research under artistic director Roberto Magro at the end of her second and final year at FLIC. She currently dances in fusiondance (Candra Eglin, Artistic Director) as well as with Nomadic Artists. Ms. Allen teaches a variety of dance disciplines to all ages around northern VA when she is not found in a sweaty yoga studio.
