
SOLEdarity is a self-directed rhythm tap company based in the Washington, D.C. area. We are dedicated to maintaining the legacy of tap dance while expanding the boundaries of traditional tap. Our diverse musical styles range from techno to pop and jazz to punk rock. We are honored to have performed in Taps Alive!, Holiday SpecTAPular, FUSE Fest, Convergence, Precedence, and many other venues throughout the DMV. Max and Sam Heimowitz are eighteen-year-old identical twin brothers from Washington, D.C. Sam has been tap dancing since he was four, and Max since he was five. The majority of their tap education has come from Knock on Wood Tap Studio, and they are also founding members of the youth ensemble, Capitol Tap. They perform up and down the east coast at a variety of festivals, both with Capitol Tap and independently. Seniors in high school at the School Without Walls in Foggy Bottom, they also attend the George Washington University as full-time college sophomores.
